Distinctively Salem

Salem is a unique town located on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Best known for its place in history as the site of the Salem Witch Trials in 1692, Salem is an intriguing historic locale perched on the rocky Atlantic shoreline. As you walk the twisting and turning streets of Salem, let your imagination be captured by what life was like in the 17th century – many of the historic homes that date to this period still stand. Salem today continues to prosper with many boutique shops that offer one-of-a-kind gifts and antiques; wonderful seafood restaurants and ethnic cuisine; and one of the finest art museums in the country – the Peabody Essex. Located only 16 miles north of Boston, Salem is easily reached via car, plane (Boston’s Logan Airport) or by The Salem Ferry.

Local Attractions

The Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites sits at the heart of Historic Salem. Culture, history, art, museums, shops and restaurants are mere steps away from the hotel.  In addition to the many activities within easy walking distance, convenient trolleys or the Salem Ferry will transport you to any outer attractions.
